The 1988-1989 starters making their return will be guards Alice Solis and Joy Boyenga, forward-guard Ellen Gordon, and center Jody Bulmer. Reserve forward Robyn King, guard Diane Schnapp, and Valencia Hedgebeth, a center from the College of San Mateo will round out the Don squad. As Coach Nepfel explained, "This is the most talent we have had in years..." The Don's roster also includes four freshmen: Tami Adkins, a 5'6" point guard from Santa Clara is a good ball handler and is fighting for a starting position; Nataly Barker, a 6'3" center from Colfax has had a good preseason displaying her rebounding and shot blocking skills; Kacey Jones, a 5' 11" forward from Hayward is strong for her size and scores well on the inside. From Monte Vista High School, Amy Touli, a 5' 7" guard, is a good perimeter shooter and a good defensive player. She will definitely see time on the court (TheFoghorn).
