Fred Jackson continued his stellar right-end play, being the outstanding player on the field. In his first appearance here as a frosh (TheFoghorn).

One of the toughest blows suffered by any team this year was that suffered by the Green and Gold when Fred Jackson, sparkling end. He was left with a broken leg on the next to last play in last week's game. Jackson was one of the best ends on the Hilltop since this writer has been following the Dons, and his fighting spirit and great defensive play will be missed by the Lewis- men.
Jackson was hurt in the last minute of play and has finished his playing for the season. He was going down under one of Ray Peterson's towering punts when a St. Mary's  block laid him low. It was immediately seen that he had broken his leg, from the position of his leg. He was taken from the field in an ambulance and removed to St. Marys Hospital. The leg still gives him considerable pain but it is mending rapidly (TheFoghorn).
