Since the prospects for the varsity were so promising and plentiful, Harvey Christensen took the capable job of coaching a J.V. squad. The squad consisted of such outstanding men as Bill Menagh, Paul Torrente, Jerry Donovan, Len Heinz and John Becker, the latter two composing the battery of pitcher and catcher respectively. The team had a late start in the season; however, it managed to organize rapidly and it continued on to win many games against Junior College and High School Varsities (The Don).
