Although it's becoming increasingly difficult to come up with a worthy recipient of our respected award week after week, we've scraped and clawed and looked under rocks to come up with this week's distinguished athlete, Eduardo "Puck" Fuentes. Your first question is probably "Why the nickname "Puck' ?" Well, that's because Ed, who is a catcher for the baseball team, wears his hair in a flat-top, and some say it makes his head look like a hockey puck.

Your next question might be "What did he do?"  Well, splitting time behind the dish this weekend in Moraga, he stroked three hits in Friday's series opener, then came back with two hits the following day. In addition, he provided his usual defensive consistency while enduring the sight of 29 runs crossing the plate in a three game set (USFFoghorn).
