Jorge Lefeure, a returning starter who alternated a great deal of the time with Diaz, should return to make some of the great diving stops that characterized his play last year. Jorge LeFaure was called upon often to exert his skill in keeping the ball out of the goal; and, towards the end of the first half, Le Faure, accomplished a number of skillful saves to keep the score at a shutout.

Goalie Jorge was named the Most Improved Player. Although he rarely saw any competitive action during the first part of the season. LeFaure continued to improve his performance with surprising agility and eventually broke into the starting line. The high moment of his seasonal career was most likely the night of the game against San Jose State, when, due to a chain of unforseen circumstances, LeFaure was forced to play the entire game against one of the toughest league opponents in a decisive match without any prospect of relief (USFFoghorn).
