He was chased home by another double, this one coming off the hot bat of third baseman Francisco Zapata, who is leading the team in hitting at .328. Jess Galarza, making just his third start of the season (benching regular first baseman Cass Fegan for the first time this year), made the best of his opportunity by launching a homer to right, scoring himself and pinch-runner Steve Berringer. Righty Eric Flores (West Valley JC) and lefty Jess Galarza (Canada JC) "need to improve defensive to be an everyday player, but they could definitely see themselves in a platoon situation (TheFoghorn).
