While last years seniors, such as former captain Pam Riggsand midfielder Laila Danielsen, will undoubtedly be missed, there will be some new faces on the Hill Top squad this fall. Coach Verhees exclaimed that freshmen Denise Kenyon, Hege Johnson and Holly Steel have all made impressive debuts in practice.

The win gave sophomore keeper Joanna Quinlivan the USF record for wins in a season. Quinlivan recorded her eighth win this year, breaking the mark of seven she tied last year. However, the win didn't come cost-free. Leading scorer Shellie Silva was injured early in the first half after a hard slide tackle by a Pioneer defense woman. She was able to run at half-time and tried to return in the second half. After a gutsy few minutes in which she played in obvious pain, she was forced to retire to the sidelines. Other injured Dons are defenders Holly Steel and Kristin Haugen (TheFoghorn).
