Patty Canfield is a native of San Francisco and attended Presentation High School.
The consistent play of Jenni Boron, Sharon Mellen, along with a strong off-the-bench performance by Patty Canfield allowed the Dons to overcome the fatigue associated with tournament play. Coach Pickering commented on the strenuous demands of tournament play that inevitably leads to the fatigue of all teams involved. "Tournament play pushes your team to the limit because you have to play at the same consistent level, whether its your first or last game. Teams that can maintain that level when tired, will be more successful at the end (TheFoghorn)."
