Behind the hitting and pitching of John Ramaciotti, the Dons won the final deciding game of the tournament. Ramaciotti had three hits in the game with Joe Marion getting two. Marion drove home the winning run in the ninth inning. Ramaciotti was selected the Tournament's MVP.

Throughout the first seven innings, John Cosmos and John Ramacciotti held State to just one run on two hits. In the eighth, State managed to score four runs off Ramacciotti and John Saunders to tie the score. They went on to win the game in the ninth 6-5. One of the key factors in the inning was the heavy fog. Two falls fell safely when the outfielders lost them in the fog. An appeal was made to the umpire to suspend play, but it didn't produce any results (TheFoghorn).
