This Sunday's game with Loyola marks the end of an era, the Barni era. Together with seven other seniors, Tiger Roy will wear the Green and Gold for the last time when the Dons venture south to do battle with those uppity Lions from Los Angeles. This is a fitting tribute to those seven men—Dick Stanfel, Kenny White, Dolph Lubamersky, Bruno Ramatici, Art Alois, Roy Barni and Gene Sweeters, who served their school so well. The last two fellows of the graduating eight have not seen a great deal of action, but these fellows are the ones that deserve the praise. Kenny White, a reserve halfback, came to the Hilltop after two years at CCSF. White is very shifty and a good ball toter, but lost out to Barni, Scudero, and Sakowski. Gay- lord Quant, a reserve right guard, hails from Lowell High in the city, but also lost out in the race to Dick Stanfel, which is no disgrace at all.

Twenty-nine senior athletes were honored last Wednesday night by the Dons' Club at the fifth annual All Sports Night dinner. The affair was held at the Scottish Rite Auditorium with 500 in attendance. President Walter Nieland presented the graduates with pen and pencil set gifts on behalf of the Dons' Club members. Those feted included: FOOTBALL—Art Alois, Roy Barni, Dolph Lubamersky, Gay Quandt, Don Ramatici, Dick Stanfel, Gene Sweeters, and Ken White (TheFoghorn).

Roy Barni, Gene Sweeters, Dick Stanfel, Art Alois, Don Ramatici. Kea Whiteand Gay Quandt made the sad journey homeward from Los Angeles, The termination of their USF careers had been bitter to stomach, but the year as a whole was marked with achievement. Won seven, lost four. A rather presentable entry in the 1950 record book (TheDon).
