The linebacking corps looks even stronger. Mike Bracco, 1967 Lineman of the Year, returns. He will be joined by John Ravarino and soph Rich Talaga at 180 lbs. The Don defense, rising to the occasion despite the absence of two stalwarts—Ken Pitetti and Ralph Navarro, dominated the third period. Interceptions by Dennis Hall and Rich Talaga thwarted all of Claremont's thrusts (The Foghorn).

Talaga graduated in 1971 in Science.
