For the women, Jeanette Bolanos won by one point, with a score of 326, while Laure Bruns came in second on the team at 325. On the second day, The Dons tied Texas Christian with a score of 1134. Bolanos led the Hilltop with a 338 score which was second only to Dean Mitchell of UNR, while Laure Bruns came in second at 336. In another air rifle match on January 20, the University of Nevada, Reno won 1222 to 1141. Bolanos had a score of 337 to lead the Dons, while Bruns scored one less point at 336. In the small bore competition, Texas Christian won 2056 to 1768 over USF.

At the Women's banquet on May 4, women's basketball sensation Brittany Lindhe won the highest award of any female athlete by winning the Anne Dolan Award. The banquet also named the following awards for each sport: rifle, Jeanette Bolanos; tennis, Nancy Bach; cross country, Liz Hoffner; golf, Leslie Buckley; volleyball, Kelly Harris; soccer, Kelli Bryant and basketball, Valerie Gillon (TheFoghorn).
