Foghorn Staff Report

At the women's banquet on May 4, women's basketball sensation Brittany Lindhe won the highest award of any female athlete by winning the Anne Dolan Award. The banquet also named the following awards for each sport: rifle, Jeanette Bolanos; tennis, Nancy Bach; cross country, Liz Hoffner; golf, Leslie Buckley; volleyball, Kelly Harris; soccer, Kelli Bryant, and basketball, Valerie Gillon.

Also finishing high for USF in the WCC tournament were Erin Rogers, 6th place with 168, and Leslie Buckley, 8th with 171. Priede earned the first ever WCC women's golf Coach of the Year award by a vote of his coaching peers. "Obviously I'm very proud of that honor, but the only reason you win Coach of the Year is to have our team perform well," Priede said. "It's really an award your team wins for you." The team, which consists of eight girls, improved their round average by 10 strokes over last year's numbers (TheFoghorn).
