    Men's Soccer (1970-1972)
This year's varsity kickers, on paper at least, appear to be at least as strong as last year's squad which went afl the way to the NCAA finals against St. Louis. Only three members of last year's starting eleven are missing from this year's squad. With the graduation of John Camacho, Bill Rapp, formerly of St. Ignatius High, and Steve Carvajal have taken turns providing the Dons with excellent goal-minding. Larry Dineen and Lorenzo Cumplido have filled in the fullback vacancies left by the graduation of both Ken Alonso and Connie Roboostoff.

Other key returning lettermen on the soccer squad include young goalies Bill Rapp and Steve Carvajal, plus defensemen Mario Sagastume, Leon Heitman, and Al Werner. In the mid field, USF is quite strong with lettermen Edgar Sagastume and Werner Heitman plus tough newcomer John Miklewright from England.

Performing especially well for USF were goalies Bill Rapp and Steve Carvajal who played a half a piece (TheFoghorn).
