There were 37 total kills accumulated by senior opposite-hitter Casie Lomax in two matches last weekend. Lomax led USF to its first 2-0 conference start since 1987 with wins over Portland and Gonzaga. Casie Lomax, an outside hitter from Ursuline High School in Santa Rosa, California is six feet tall.
The dominating victory over Maine tied a school-record for winning margin (42). Christina Beckmann, who totaled 56 assists and 6 blocks in just two games, was named the Tournament MVP, while Christa Downey and Casie Lomax captured All-Tournament Honors. But, beyond just those that received tournament honors, it was a complete team effort. We (players) are making this the team that we want it to be," said Willnerd (TheFoghorn).
