Joseph Woznial was a native of Shenandoah, PA, and graduated in Business in 1950. He was a member of the Block Club and served in the U.S. Army.

Again the Dons tied it up in their half of the fourth as Wozniak walked, Matteucci singled, later to cross the plate on Shortstop Harvey Toso's boot. Successive singles by John Vick and Joe Wozniak plus an error by the left fielder gave the Dons the lead again in the top of the fifth, 5-4.

Coach Kuharich's remarks over last Sunday's victory were: "I was especially pleased with the type of play our younger boys gave us. . . . Joe Wozniak showed up well at defensive guard, and Ralph Thomas was especially sharp at end. "And Vince Sakowski looked good at half. He is only a soph and perhaps we pushed him too fast by starting him against C.U.V. We held him out until yesterday, but he proved against Nevada that he is a good replacement (TheFoghorn).
