Although the women's team had competed in its last race the week before at the NorPac championships, two USF women entered the WCAC competition. Laura Gallo finished 12th out of 29 runners. The other Don, Nancy Cullinane, placed 14th in the 3.1 mile race. "It was a really good season, much better than last year," Gallo commented. Next year will be tough as USF will lose three graduating seniors: Regina Berg, Nancy Cullinane, and K.T. Argys. Said Argys of the recently completed season, "We did great as a team and were a lot more together."

RUNNING. . . The USF women's cross country team participated in the NorPac Cross Country Championships this past Saturday in Fresno. Eight NorPac schools participated: USF, Cal, Washington, Washington State, Oregon, Oregon State, Fresno State and Santa Clara. Running in very cold conditions, the Dons tried valiantly but could only manage an eighth place finish. The top five finishers for USF and their times: Louise Foti (20:59), Nancy Cullinane (21:07), Regina Berg (21:10), Laura Gallo (21:11), and K.T. Argys (21:19 ). Oregon won the meet and also had the best runner who was Kim Ruth who finished with a time of 16:47 (TheFoghorn).
