The hurdles present a weakness which can be overcome only by hard work and determination by those on whom the responsibility rests, namely: Libby of the 1930 Frosh credited with 16 flat and the senior, Red Werner. The low barriers are stronger than the highs in the person of Alec Thomas (ex Frosh Captain), Lyn Warford, that versatile athlete and Paul Stanton; they should run well under 26 seconds this spring. The jumps, especially the high jump, are better than average. Williams goes over 6'2". Red Werner, a better competitive athlete, can be relied upon to hit close to 6' and better if necessary. The broad jump Has Williams and Warford who are more than capable of 23 feet due to their freshman performances of 22'10". The Veteran varsity jumpers Lafferty, Captain Montague and Paul Stanton, will figure somewhere in this event.

There are two men on the team from last year's Gray Fog Frosh basketball team. The two referred to are Colma and Stanton. Colma filled in a halfback and proved he could pass and kick a football like Fanny Hunting. Stanton played end and displayed plenty of speed. He hails from Palo Alto (TheFoghorn).
