USF women's tennis team is on strong. Led by Cici Louie, a formerly Nationally Ranked Player in the juniors, she is undefeated in singles this year, having defeated SF State's number one player 6-1, 6-4 and UOP's number one player 6-2, 6-3. SFS State beat USF 8-1 but there were many close sets and evenly contested matches. We barely lost to the tough UOP team. Our #6 singles player Joyce Crowley lost in three tough sets. This match could have gone either way. The #3 doubles team of Crowley and Hambarzumian split sets with UOP and had the match called because of darkness. Members of USF's team are at #2 Mina Hambarzumian, #3 Patti Wood, #4 Joyce Stoffey, #5 Gayle Cowley, #6 Joyce Crowley, #7 Pauline Busa, #8 Christine Ryan, and #9 Rosemary Crowley (TheFoghorn).
