DIAMOND DOINGS: USF is now 17-15 on the season entering today's game in Reno. The 17 wins is two more victories the team totaled for all of last season. Before the Sac State game on Tuesday, USF had outscored its opponents 104-47 in 11 games, batting .361 over that span.vIn the San Diego series, Ray McDonald totaled eight hits in twelve plate appearances to raise his average to .298. The Dons have six hitters over the 300 mark: Wayne Giesen (.387), Chris Krocner (.384), Joe Williams (.333), Dave Sheldon (327), Nick LaRocca (.309), and Angelo Martin (.308). 

The Dons return home to play Stanislaus State in a single game next Tuesday (USFFoghorn).
