Gregory Steven Moore was born on July 6, 1977 in Long Beach, CA. He played baseball as pitcher and as catcher at Long Beach City College, and then for the Dons.  After graduating in 2001 he served as an Assistant Head coach at USF and as Recruiting Coordinator.  He worked one year at the University of Washington before returning to USF. He became Head Coach at Cal State Northridge from 2014 to 2019 and then at Saint Mary's from 2020 to 2023. He also earned a MA in Sports Management and founded SevWins Prep, a virtual academy for sports.
