The 1993 Cross Country season ended Saturday at the West Coast Conference Championship, held at Crystal Springs Course in Belmont, CA. The match was dominated on both the men's and women's sides by the University of Portland.

The Pilots victories marked the 15th straight title for the men's team and sixth in seven years for the women. The Pilot men, ranked seventh in the nation, were led by at 1-2 finish by seniors Carsten Arndt and Chris Gilbert. Arndt led the field with a course record time of 25:23, edging Gilbert by nine seconds.

The US men's squad also placed sixth in a field of eight. Jeff Scharosch, the Dons top finisher, completed the 8K race in 19th place with a time of 28:23. Tony Folan and Mike Severance finished 15 and 16 spots later, respectively. Other Don finishers included Moises Hernandez at 33:12, Aaron Frank (35:20), and Joe Neilson (36:09) (USFFoghorn).
