Mattias Kodzoman is currently the Director of Coaching and Development for the Tiburon Peninsula Soccer Club. He has extensive experience as a player and coach. Mattias hails from Vasteras, Sweden. Mattias earned a Bachelor's of Science Degree in Marketing and Accounting from the University of San Francisco in 1998. He holds a NSCAA Premier Diploma, USSF C and has coached competitive youth teams for the past 20+ years in Tiburon Peninsula Soccer Club, Marin FC, Mill Valley Soccer Club, San Francisco Youth Soccer and Redwood High School. He is a two-time NAIA All American, having played soccer for Trine University in Indiana and University of San Francisco in California from 1996 to 1997, and as a semi-professional player in Sweden for Basteras SK. Mattias has also taken over 2000 players and parents to Europe to play soccer over the past 20 years to compete at the Gothia Cup, The World Youth Cup and other top European youth tournaments with Kodzoman Soccer (TiburonPSC).

The defense, anchored by returners Mattias Kodzoman, All-WCC performer Brandon Jensen, and the goalkeeping duo of juniors Brian Mullen and Zack Vaughn, has given up only the one goal to Holy Cross in the past three games. With senior stalwart Ratzburg back at forward, ready to strike at any time in a role much like the graduated Chris McDonald had for the past two seasons, the Dons seem armed and ready to play almost any brand of soccer.

"It takes 20-25 games to created game flow," said Visser wistfully, knowing full well that the Dons play only a 20-game schedule. Still, heading into the Nike-Coca-Cola Classic at Santa Clara this weekend where the Dons will face Cal-State Northridge and William & Mary, the Dons have plenty of bright spots. New defenders Tim Garlick and Chris Yantos have played solid and smart, with Garlick providing occasional offensive help. Senior sweeper Mattias Kodzoman has anchored the defense, and the midfield has been energized by Esteban and sophomore transfers Marinescu and Alexsander Akerjordet (TheFoghorn).
