Christian Marston played soccer for the Dons for one season and after graduation, went on to coaching.  His son, Christian Marston Jr., attended Vanguard University in Costa Mesa, CA where he played soccer.

In the second half, Andersen brought the crowd to its feet with a spectacular drive past two Cardinal defenders that resulted in his second goal for the afternoon. Christian Marston completed the Dons scoring by driving home a penalty kick for his first goal of his collegiate career. Before the season, Stanford Coach Nelson Lodge told a soccer press conference: "We should have no trouble scoring this year. Two of our players, Willie Gucci and Ted Rafolovitch could combine for fifty goals."

Jo Bergsvand did most of the damage with a three goal first half, giving the Dons a 3-1 margin at the intermission. In the second half, Roar Anderson and Eric Nielsen slammed in goals before Steve Negoesco called off the dogs, and brought in his second string. However, the scoring did not stop as Christian Marston and Per Haugverstad both found their way through the UC-Davis defense to round out the scoring (TheFoghorn).
