Probably the best natural shot on the team, John Hancock was accurate from thirty feet away from the hoop. An outstanding starting guard his sophomore year on the Hilltop, Hancock was a key factor to the success of the Pete Cross led 1969-1970 Dons. Although used sparingly last season, Hancock came on to spark the Dons when called upon by coach Bob Gaillard. An outstanding ball handler, Hancock is excellent at breaking the press. In addition to his playing skills, he could figure to help the club as a team leader. A Business major at USF, he prepped at Las Lomas High School.Â
