The Dons will be playing WCC for San Diego this Saturday, with outside hitter Shannon Buller taking over Beckman's position at starting setter. Without a familiar setter, Willnerd is hoping "to merely survive." "We will have to play a smart game. (Both teams) have skill but one of us will have to play smarter."
On the positive side, USF was lead by Shannon Buller who had 14 kills and 14 digs, and Angela Zeiter with 16 kills, 12 digs. Junior setter Sandy Kruger had 50 assists in five games and three service aces. In Saturday's win over Yale at St. Mary's, the Dons improved their hitting percentage to 24% with 47 kills compared to only 16 errors (TheFoghorn).
