A clutch reserve performer the past two seasons at USF, Phil White hopes to make his senior season his best. His fine shooting ability and fine rebounding ability may merit Phil enough playing time to achieve this goal. Possibly his best shot is the jumper from the corner. However with his tremendous strength, Phil is not shy about driving to the hoop. Although he saw little action last year, he has a combination of strength and depth which are pluses for the 1972-1973 USF line-up. As a prep, Phil led North State power Willow Glen High School in San Jose to tremendous undefeated seasons in 1968 and 1969. His career there was highlighted by All-Central Coast, All-Northern California, All-State and All-American kudos. Phil is a Sociology major looking forward to a teaching career after graduation in May (USFFoghorn).Â
