According to Head Coach Laurie Corbelli two main reasons why the Dons were successful against the Broncos were senior Denise Pardoen and freshman Melanie Kaiser. Corbelli says that Pardoen played one of her best games ever. However, it was the overall team play that Corbelli says helped the Dons dash the hopes of the would-be champions. "I was real happy. I think we played with a lot of heart. The game last night was a total team effort," she says.
As for next year, Melanie Kaiser, teammate to Denise Pardoen. says, "It is a good thing the team will leave on a winning note. We will lose three players to graduation, but have a lot of confidence for next year in Denise Pardoen and Shelley Haight
