The Gray Fog scored their lone tally in the third inning. With two men out Harrison hit a high fly to left field and reached second when Coop- man dropped the ball. Lefty Sulix drove Johnny home when he rattled the boards in right for a double. After that there were plenty of chances to tally but the boys couldn't take advantage of their opportunities. The loss of Fat Vest, hard hitting catcher, is keenly felt. He is expected to be out of the game another week with a badly injured finger. His hitting and receiving will strengthen the team one hundred percent. Lefty Sulix was the hitting star of the varsity with two singles. George McSorley turned in several nice plays at short, besides catching the last four innings. Bert Paynter looked good while he was in the game and garnered a neat hit for himself. Heinie Thompson played nice ball for the Olympic Club, robbing the boys of several wallops that looked like sure hits. St. Ignatius (TheIgnatian).
