After pitching four very tough innings. Bob Marquez was hit hard in the fifth, giving up two runs before yielding to Dons relief ace. Ray Dellaserra wasn't up to his usual effective form and he gave up single runs in the sixth and hit a solo home run for USF. The results were similar to the seventh, as Cal won the first game 4-3 (TheFoghorn).
