The USF soccerites will play their first conference game on Saturday morning, October 1, against the strong California squad at Berkeley.  Cal, as you all know, was the third strongest contender for the championship last year, USF and Stanford ranking first and second, respectively. Line-Up Coach Frank Zanazzi has not as yet named his first string line-up, but in all probability, the following men will start against the Golden Bears: Goal, Ed Libby; fullbacks, Applegate, Bosello; halfbacks, Bazzano, Wicklow and Arnowitz; forwards, Isola, Gordon, Donoghue, Hughes and Baumeister.

The champions of the Pacific Coast Soccer Conference retained their claim to this title when they defeated the alumni soccer eleven last Sunday by a 4-to-3 score. The varsity soccer team took the offensive attitude from the outset and after five minutes of fast dribbling and criss-cross pass work they scored when Tom Applegate hoisted the oval through the goals (TheFoghorn).
