GENERAL CAPSULE - Offers a tremendous fitness base and solid work ethic... should generate more offensively as she is transitioned to the midfield.

2001 SEASON - Started all 20 games, recording one goal and three assists... providing the game-winning assist to teammate Meghan Daly for a win versus Colorado (9/7)... scored a goal in lopsided 4-0 victory against UC Riverside (9/27)... had assists in winning games against Portland State (10/14) and Gonzaga (10/26).

2000 SEASON - Played in 16 matches during sophomore season... started in 13 matches for USF... took four shots.

1999 SEASON - Scored two goals in first season at USF...both goals came in USF's 6-0 rout of Stanislaus State (10/19)... appeared in 18 matches with 10 starting assignments.

PREP CAREER - A First Team All-Conference choice, league MVP and All-Section selection in a brilliant senior season at Mt. Carmel HS... squad won two straight conference titles... also named to the San Diego Union Tribune All-Academic squad in her final campaign... graduated in 1999.

OTHER SOCCER EXPERIENCE - Played with the FC Bratz club squad.

PERSONAL - Katie Marie Mingst... my goal for this season is to help my team beat Santa Clara and Portland... the best thing about being a student-athlete is that it challenges you and causes you to have a good work ethic... the best advice I could give to youngsters is to work hard now because it will pay off later... I chose USF for its location, women's soccer program and the opportunities The City has to offer... parents are Bill and Chris Mingst... born September 23, 1980.
