Flocchini was a member of Scabbard and Blade, and Delta Sigma Pi. A native of San Francisco, he graduated in Accounting in 1954.
USF's hopes for a top flight rifle team again this year are looking up, according to Sgt. Jack Tadday, the sharpshooters' able coach. Hit by graduations and expected by some to be hard put to replace seven departed varsity performers the likes of Bud Flocchini, Jim Graziani, and Len Puccinelli, Sgt. Tadday is, nevertheless, confident that these gaps will be filled more than adequately, and that "we'll be all right this year." The nucleus of this year's team figures to be the veteran trio of "Icewater Ed" Crosetti, Bill Kennedy, and Dave Davini, all three capable marksmen with several years of varsity experience behind them. These old hands, bolstered by promising sophs, Rick Tan and John Wise, figure to give the other NCIC teams a good run for their money during the '54-'55 season (TheFoghorn).
