The University of San Francisco Golf Team is all set to kick off its 1973 season. Team qualifications were completed last week at San Geronimo Golf Club. Originally, 54 holes had been scheduled; however the final 18 holes were rained out on Friday. As a result, total scores for 36 holes were used to determine the team. Players who will represent USF and their qualification scores are returning golfers Dennis McDevitt (164), Mark Ritchie (163), and Jim Diaz; and newcomers Skip Lathan (158), Cliff Schiffel (158), Garg Lisketjohn (174), and Drryl Sudduth (180). Team golf coach is Del Henry.
On Thursday and Friday of this week, the golf team is participating in the Chico State Tee-Off Tourney at California State University at Chico. Representing the Dons in this tournament will be Jim Diaz, Mark Ritchie, Skip Latham, Gary Lisketjon, Cliff Scheffel, Dennis McDevitt and Coach Del Henry (TheFoghorn).
