Peter Quittner was born on October 7, 1974 in San Jose, CA. at 6' 2", 190 lbs., he batted left and threw right. He played first baseman and catcher for the Dons. He was drafted  by the Anaheim Angels in the 34th round of the 1997 MLB Amateur June Draft. He had a single season record of runs batted in of 66 in 1997.

The Dons scored twice in the ninth to overcome LMU's bullpen. Hempel continued his hot streak by going 3-for-4 with two homers and three RBI, Peter Quittner added to his team-leading RBI total with three. Quittner's 62 RBI are just three shy of breaking USF's single-season RBI record.

Catcher Peter Quittner also had a big day, going 3-4, including his second home run of the year. "It's a good win whenever you leave the guys on the field," said Hill on the come-from-behind win (TheFoghorn).
