Thc Dons will once again have a strong defense. Led by Sargent, the defense looks to be even stronger this year with the return of sophomores Brooke Tillemans, Melinda Mattingly, and junior Reka Maximovitch. The goalkeepers this year will be veteran Aileen Blackburn and freshman Wingert. Senior forward Kathleen Lucey is a big contributor this year. The goals for this season are simple for Head Coach Verhees. "This is the year for USF women's soccer to develop an identity," he says. "What that means is developing a competitive Division I program where speed and physical play are your key assets to winning games."

USF says good bye to only three seniors this year: Riggs, Danielsen, and defender Reka Maximovitch. Danielson is number four all time on USF"s scoring list with twenty four points (9 goals, 6 assists). She also tied a school record with three game winning goals this year. Maximovitch, an aggressive play maker and clever defender, was named to USF's Academic Honor Roll five times in her career and ranks number four all time in starts for USF (TheFoghorn).
