The San Francisco Sporting News feels that two players are equally deserving of the honor of being named player of the week. They are defensive end Rich Stapenhorst and halfback Glenn Fukunaga. Stapenhorst was a demon on defense for the Dons last Saturday, as he was in on seven unassisted and five assisted tackles. This super sophomore was also responsible for sacking Reno's quarterback, Steve McPherson, twice and it seemed like he was in the Wolfpack's backfield all afternoon (TheFoghorn).
