Thirty hustling soccer hopefuls greeted Head Coach "Gus" Donoghue last week, as the Dons began their 13th season of intercollegiate competition. Since 1948, USF has been champions of the Northern California Intercollegiate Soccer Conference and Coach Donoghue is looking forward to another successful year. The Dons, who now carry a 29 straight win streak, will be led by veterans Tony Njoku and Wayne Saindon, who placed on the 1957 All-Conference First Team, and Stan Jonah, Eric Fink, Serge Burenin, Mauricio Salaverra, Sal Iraheta, Louie Duran, Ed Duran, and Jose Bakovic. Newcomers, who are expected to break into the lineup include Frank Suarez, Ludwig Sodieman ,and William Gallindo (TheFoghorn).
