As the new Cross Country coach, John Drocco is "piecing things together," with five returning runners and a strong number of walk-ons.

While the team was away for the summer, runner Frank Tardivat placed 25th in the San Francisco Marathon and returns this year with serious intentions for some top place finishes for this season. Also returning is top runner Doug Pajer, Matt Bates, Tim Ryan and John Logan. Senior Andy Anderson makes his appearance this season along with David Kelley and James McGehee.

The women's team returns their number one runner Heather Kipp and foresees serious runners in Marcia Jones, Heather Allen and Cindy Donoghue. Unfortunately, though, to compete as a team their is a requirement of at least five runners. Any female student interested in running please contact Coach Drocco in B109 in Memorial Gym or extension 2926.

With a New England air and San Francisco haze, both teams competed at the San Francisco State Invitational in Crystal Springs. Frank Tardivat and John Logan both turned in top finishes for the men while Heather Kipp strode in with a top finish for the girls. This Saturday the USF Runners will be traveling to compete at the Sonoma State Invitational in Rohnert Park, CA (TheFoghorn).
