Just looking over the final slat sheet, it's easy to see that thc key io success was teamwork. Goal scoring was pretty much spread out among four players, along with several others contributing timely scores. With eight goals, Shellie Silva, sophomore forward from Honolulu, again led the squad in scoring and placed fourth in the West Coast Conference. The Dons came back fighting in the second half. Forward Maggie Buckland was fouled in the box, setting up a penalty shot for leading scorer Shellie Silva. Silva unleashed a hard shot towards the lower left corner but lucky USD goalie Alison Worden managed to guess the direction of the shot and deflect it
Bryant set the pace early, scoring just 83 seconds into the game at Negoesco Field. Sophomore midfielder Jannik Abel added two goals, her sixth consecutive scoring game. Her 32 points on the season (11G/1OA) place her tenth in the nation and only nine points shy of the USF team record. Bryant ranks 14th in the nation in scoring with 29 points (11G/7A), bringing her career tally to 58 and tying her for second on the all-time list with senior teammate Shellie Silva (TheFoghorn).
