Biography: Dunne grew up in San Francisco and attended St. Bridget's Elementary School, St. Ignatius High School and City College before arriving on the Hilltop. He played baseball under Dante Benedetti. After leaving USF, he enjoyed a short career in coaching, and founded the San Francisco Touch Football Association which he managed for 25 years. 

Did You Know?: Dunne played competitive softball for many years. His favorite league was the North Beach Past Pitch League.

Life After USF: For 13 years, Dunne was a coach and Athletic Director at St. Vincent de Paul Grammar School in the City. In 1972 he co-founded Doherty and Dunne Sporting Goods in the Marina district of San Francisco. Later on, he worked at T&B Sports in San Rafael.
