The Sophomore Class has the work of keeping the freshmen under control during the first days of their entrance into the University. To this end the Class provides green felt hats with a gold ribbon which the frosh must wear within six blocks of the campus until the Class decides that the youngsters have learned how to behave themselves or until the Frosh have proven their ability to boss themselves by defeating the Class in Annual Brawl. A Sophomore Vigilance Committee, this year composed of F. McStocker, Chairman; James Barrett, Harry Mulvihill, Thomas Trodden, Robert Hay, Louis Batmale, Frank Sears, Jerry Beggs, B. Wunderling, John Rhode, C. Rendall, W. McLaughlin, James Rice, J. Gaffney, Art Rosen, Clint Letlow, E. Moore, J. Conway, J. O'Neal, B. Mohorovich and Elmer Lincoln, keeps the young men in the way that they must go (TheDon).
15 Frosh Win: Fifteen freshmen won the right to wear the Green and Gold freshman numerals. The list of successful frosh includes Bill Hinch, Art Rosen, Al Farber, Charles Letlow, William Rice, Elmer Moore, Bernard Wunderling, Dan O'Neil, Chet Rendall, Bernard Wiesinger, Joe Colma, Bob Hay, Francis McStocker, Carroll Gross, and Bud Moy (TheFoghorn).
