This Cal team is far above ordinary JV caliber, and the Dons were high for this game. This was not true on Wednesday when, still stinging from their previous days loss, the JVs were defeated in a loosely played game by the Honest Abes from Lincoln. Frenchy LaBourdette pitched very well, allowing only four hits, but he was the victim of very bad support. There was a definite letdown among the players as a whole. The only bright spots of the affair were the hitting of Bob Morrelle, who blasted two singles, and the steady pitching of La Bourdette (TheFoghorn).
