St. Mary's won the opener of the short series at Benedetti Diamond on Saturday 7-5. Swan and Brian Hanoy homered for the Gaels as supper hard luck pitcher Jim O'Shea saw his record drop to 0-4. Catcher Rob Harris homered in the loss. USF got back on the winning track Tuesday at Hayward State with a 10-5 win. Freshman standout Arnie Sambel, Eric Enos Steve Berriatua all homered in the win (USFFoghorn).
