Dave Rapken is making a strong bid for a starting birth on the Don Doers. Adding height and showing good defensive potentials, Dave is fast becoming quite an expert. Incidentally he stands 6 feet and carries 190-lbs. along with him. Known to all his affectionate consorts as "Sleepy," he is a graduate of Balboa as is Sherman Heaney. Dave was outstanding on the Balboa quint, and also added his talents to the football eleven. and St. Mary's.
Dave is a freshman and hopes to graduate in '49, thus assuring the Dons of four years play. Seriously, he thinks the team is improving with every game, and thinks Coach Tiny is one of the best. You will get to know Dave through his good efforts on the court (TheFoghorn).
