Volleyball Signees: Three freshmen from California have verbally committed to USF to play volleyball for Marty Kennedy's Dons next season. The signees are Karen Puccini, freshman, outside hitter, San Francisco; Lynn Felando, freshman, outside hitter, Westminster, CA; and Angela Johnson, freshman, middle blocker, Berkeley, CA .

Coach Pickering felt that his team played better defense, and was more aggressive against Santa Clara. "We had one of our better serving matches," he added. Pickering also mentioned that Lynn Felando played her best match of the year. "Lynn did a good job off the bench and served well." The first year coach is optimistic about the remaining four games. "We can be real solid in the remaining four," Pickering commented (TheFoghorn).

Felando played from 1982 to 1984, and then became a Team Manager in 1984. She graduated in 1987 in Biology.
