Once again USF has come through with potent bench strength. John Boro moved the team well, and Anthony Lewis, although only in 16 minutes, scored 8 points and gathered in 7 rebounds, mostly late in the second half to help preserve victory.
During these off moments, as Seattle started to chip away at the USF advantage, Coach Bob Gaillard inserted a remedy in the person of sophomore guard John Boro who tended to clear the Don irregularity with his great ability to set up plays and keep the team moving—especially away from the ball Seattle was led in scoring by forward Steve Bravard and reserve center Ron Howard who both had 17 points (TheFoghorn).
After USF, he worked as a Sales Engineer for Cummins West, from 1982 to 2013, and then at Boro Enterprises, until retirement.Â
