The Dons, however, have their share of outstanding booters. They will have three veteran from last year returning: seniors John Hoshimi, outside left; Fred Savage, inside right; and junior Jorge Hernandez, center forward. Savage was named to the All-Conference team. James Lynch, a junior from City College and junior college All-American, will start at the inside left.

The first quarter started with the Aggies on the defense as the Dons pressed their attack. Failing to score, the play moved to mid-field for the next few minutes. The Dons then moved quickly for two successive shots at the Aggie goal, both of which failed. Play was then quickly reversed, the Dons on the defensive with Dick Davidson stopping one and Fred Savage another, while Dick was momentarily drawn out of the play. The last few minutes of the period saw Alex Ysrael and Fred Savage making fine plays, which again put the Aggies on the defensive. After a good boot by Jorge Hernandez, the quarter ended with the Aggies returning to the offense (TheFoghorn).
