At Davis, Findlay finished 50th overall, but 24th among collegians as unattached or club runners took 26 out of the top 50 spots. Dave Scudamore, an unattached runner, finished first overall, as Sacramento State's Damon Chamberlain finished first among student runners.
Also placing for the Dons were Tony Folan, Luis Castillo, Laman Javaheri, and Abidine Djimbira. The women's half of the meet was captured by Julia Stamps, an unattached 10th grader from Santa Rosa who also won the USF invitational on September 10th (TheFoghorn).

A warm welcome to all the new students and to returning students. Hi, I am Abidine Djimbira and I am a senior with a Global Management major and an advanced certificate in Japanese Language and Culture, a certificate in Asian-Pacific studies and in German. I was born in Senegal, West Africa, where 1 lived until age 7, then moved to France where I went to school.

I've been involved with the International Sudents Association since 1993, and have occupied various functions with the Undergraduate business Association and the Japan Club. I wish to become a Senator for the I.S.A because I believe I can represent the interests of the international student community at USF. International students at US represent about 12 percent of total enrollment, therefore I feel that they should be well represented on campus. I am running for this office because I feel that I can be of assistance to the international student community. I seek the approval from all the undergraduate international students at USF, and request you to elect me to this office in the upcoming ASUSF senate elections on campus (TheFoghorn).
