The Dons have more depth. With the return-on 1982 leading scorer Tor Sveen, along with freshman Mark DeCroce and; UCLA transfer Greg Burns, the frontline is more potent than inj recent years. With the addition of Helge Myrengett. Marko Lucchetta and Bernie Murphy in the midfield, that was weakened by the graduation of Per Haugvaldstad and Vidar Larsen, the midfield should be steady as well.
Celtic teammate Alan Bailey. Bailey is a hard-tackling defender who is a Dons fan favorite, and an attacker's nightmare. Julian Kowalski returns to play the stopper position as he did last season. Senior Bernie Murphy is one of the leading candidates to replace Boardman. while many other excellent defenders look to break into the lineup. Among them are returnees John Kinyon and Mark DeCroce. and newcomer Yuri Simpson.
The Dons needed an offensive threat next year in order to be considered a national power. A forward who takes it to the defense is gritty and big. And someone who hopefully doesn't get injured. They have a few positions to fill as Marco Luchetta, Don Murphy, Bernie Murphy, Steven Torkelson, and Mark DeCroch are all graduating. They already have a mean defense. All they need now is to get mean on offense. It would be all over for everyone else (TheFoghorn).
